In the context of a business sale transaction, proper consideration of employee issues is often only given after the Contract is signed. Examining employer responsibilities and hidden issues with a clear framework early in the transaction can save a multitude of headaches down the track. An experienced Employment lawyer before heading to the Bar, Leo has experience both dealing with matters that have gone awry during or after a transaction, and in understanding the steps to avoid employment disputes before they happen.
Β
Leo has a broad practice at the Bar, but within the employment arm of his practice he accepts briefs for advising and appearing in unfair dismissal and general protections applications, disputes regarding construction of employment contracts and enterprise agreements, restraint of trade clauses and workplace investigations, along with workers compensation claims, discrimination matters and whistleblower disputes.
Β
Please join us for a high calibre examination of a crucial but often overlooked element of business sale transactions. We are very fortunate to have access to Leoβs expertise, free to members.
